Barcelona are reportedly set to improve striker Hamza Abdelkarim’s contract after an impressive pre-season with the Catalan giants.
The youngster scored four goals in three pre-season games for Barcelona and looks to be a real prospect.
According to Jijantes, Barcelona now want to improve Abdelkarim’s contract and will also increase his release clause.
The Egypt international’s clause is currently set at €15 million but Barca want to increase it to €150m in a move which demonstrates their faith in the striker.
Abdelkarim is expected to start the season with Barcelona Atletic but it does look as though he could get some first-team chances, particularly if the club can’t sign a new No. 9 this season.
Hansi Flick admitted before the end of last season that Abdelkarim “could be an option” for Barcelona in the 2026-27 campaign, and he will surely have impressed the German coach further with his goals in pre-season.
