The Sixers are 5-1, have the second-best offense and sixth-best net rating in the NBA after six games — just as we all predicted.
After taking care of business Sunday night in Brooklyn over the lowly Nets,
the Sixers will stay on the road for a difficult back-to-back against the equally surprising Chicago Bulls (5-1) and ever-dangerous Cleveland Cavaliers (4-3). The team will then return home for a back-to-back against the Toronto Raptors (3-4) and Detroit Pistons (4-2) — unveiling their black jerseys and wearing them for both games.
Tyrese Maxey is third in the NBA in scoring and sixth in assists. VJ Edgecombe is near the top of the leaderboard in almost every statistical category amongst rookies. Joel Embiid is slowly but surely increasing his minutes. Kelly Oubre Jr. is playing the best basketball of his career. Quentin Grimes is adding a ton of juice off the bench. Paul George and Jared McCain should be back in the fold soon.
So, let’s get the mailbag up and running again. I’ll continue to answer your questions directly in comments instead of doing a separate post. I’ll try to get to as many questions as I can. Fire away!
