The University of Kentucky honored its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class Friday night, celebrating six legendary Kentucky Wildcats who left lasting marks on their programs.
The ceremony at Rupp Arena recognized Abbey Cheek-Ramsey (softball), Makayla Epps (women’s basketball), Doug Flynn (baseball/men’s basketball/broadcaster), Sonia Hahn (women’s tennis), Josh Hines-Allen (football) and Karl-Anthony Towns (men’s basketball).
The inductees were introduced during halftime of Saturday’s football win over
Eastern Michigan, with the exception of Hines-Allen, who returned to Jacksonville to prepare for his NFL matchup.
Cheek-Ramsey became UK’s first SEC Softball Player of the Year in 2019 and remains one of the program’s most decorated hitters. Epps, one of Kentucky’s all-time great guards, ranks sixth in career scoring with 1,790 points. Flynn, a two-sport athlete at UK, won two World Series titles with the Cincinnati Reds before embarking on a long broadcasting career.
Hahn, a two-time singles and doubles All-American, became one of the most accomplished players in UK women’s tennis history and later built a coaching career at Tennessee. Hines-Allen rewrote the record books as the Wildcats’ all-time sacks leader and now stars for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Towns, the 2015 SEC Freshman of the Year, helped lead Kentucky to a 38-1 season and Final Four berth before becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.
The UK Athletics Hall of Fame honors achievements that shaped the tradition of Kentucky sports, recognizing excellence that inspires current and future Wildcats.
