The Cincinnati Bengals have likely completed their big splash in this year’s free agency with the NFL Draft approaching soon.
The Bengals added a few veteran pieces to help boost the defense, but there is still plenty of work to be done for this unit to take a drastic step forward in 2026.
Cincinnati will likely be heavily drafting defensive players in this year’s draft to complement the free agent moves, and Bearcats linebacker Jack Golday is a name that has recently surfaced.
Golday recently joined
Kay Adams’ show and shared that he has a top-30 visit planned with the Bengals before the draft.
Golday finished his time with the Bearcats with 64 solo tackles, 13 tackles for loss, five sacks, and five passes defensed in 24 games, after starting his college career with Central Arkansas.
He will likely be a day two target for the Bengals and would be a solid fit for what the team is looking for.
Golday’s snap counts show that he has spent time playing both on and off the ball, and that versatility will come in handy with the other linebackers already in the building, like Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter.
This could be a sneaky good draft selection for the Bengals, but I still believe the front office needs to bring in a proven veteran at the position.
