AEW Collision (May 2, 2026) featured a few cool submissions. Skye Blue unveiled a new finisher, and Wheeler Yuta cinched in the Peruvian Neck Tie.
Blue was in action against Nixi XS. Blue dominated the match. Instead of scoring the pin on a running knee, she pulled her opponent up for more punishment. Blue slapped on the Descent Into Madness submission, which is a dragon sleeper with a full body triangle.
Over in tag team action, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia faced Juice Robinson and Ace Austin. Yuta executed the Peruvian Necktie submission, which is a modified guillotine choke. Tony DeSouza is credited as the originator. This move was used in the middle of the match, so it wasn’t a finisher. The Peruvian Necktie was cool to see nonetheless.
Here is the Peruvian Necktie done in MMA combat with Pat Curran submitting Luis Palomino in Bellator on June 25, 2011.
