This is a bit of a loaded question, but as I was going through videos of the NBA throughout time from the 1950s straight through today, I got the distinct impression that exciting doesn’t always equal better… and I wanted to ask this question.
Which era of Blazers basketball was the most exciting for you?
Is it the mid-70s championship-era team?
…or perhaps the late 80s / early 90s squad?
…or maybe those late 90s / early 200s teams?
…or maybe a more modern game is your cup of tea?
I get that this is subjective,
but I wanted to put some guard rails around the thinking. A few of those include:
- It’s got to be about the on-court excitement. Leave the non-basketball stuff aside.
- It has to be in context of the era, so the most exciting Blazers teams compared to every other team at the time.
- It doesn’t have to be the BEST team. This is important! Just the most exciting for you.
- There is no wrong answer. While we have videos, lots of us come from different eras or prefer different styles of basketball, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
