The most dangerous hitter for the Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League, it is no surprise that Chase Harlan was right in the middle of the action, making the most of his one hit in a 10-5 win. As the Desert Dogs led 4-1 in the seventh inning, Harlan helped put the game out of reach with a three-run bomb, his fifth home run. Harlan leads the team in several key offensive categories, including but not limited to runs (15) and RBI (17).
Besides Harlan, the only other Dodger to feature in the Desert Dogs starting lineup was Eduardo Quintero, who managed to record an RBI despite going hitless in three at-bats. Struggling heavily with the bat in the AFL, Quintero at least still leads his team in stolen bases, successful in all six tries.
Lastly, Brooks Auger was the first reliever out of the bullpen as the Desert Dogs needed five innings to complete this one after starter Briggs McKenie tossed four scoreless. Auger allowed four baserunners in just two frames, but a key out with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth prevented the Solar Sox from doing major damage against the left-hander.
