I had a feeling the moment J.J. Bush de-committed from Arkansas following the firing of Sam Pittman, that we could see the Alabama 4-star linebacker in black and gold. After all the Tigers were deep in the thick of it the first time around. But you never know.
Then I pulled up his 247sports.com profile yesterday out of curiosity and saw the scout from Andrew Ivins… in the “reminds us of” section… the player was Ty’Ron Hopper. It was meant to be, JJ. Just say the words.
Earlier today he said the words:
Bush is the 271st player in the country per 247sports composite rating, the #17 linebacker and the #14 player in Alabama. Bush had been committed to Arkansas since early July, decommitted on September 29th, and picked the Tigers over LSU, Mississippi State, and Cincinnati.

His Junior year highlights show you everything you could want in a LB, he’s fast and he seeks contact. At Theodore he’s a multi-sport athlete and averages over 18 ppg in basketball, and runs a 24.32 200 meter dash and a 20-8 ft long jump. He’s a very multi-dimensional athlete. Again the Hopper comparison seems to fit quite well.
