Charles Jourdain put an absolute beating on Davey Grant earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 18, 2025) at UFC Vancouver LIVE on ESPN+ from inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, stopping the
bantamweight veteran with a slick first-round submission (guillotine choke).
This fight was all Jourdain. The Canadian favorite landed a beautiful flying knee early into the first round that immediately put Grant on notice. Moments later, Jourdain scored another nasty flying knee that landed directly on Grant’s nose and sent him toppling to the canvas. It was surprising that Grant didn’t go out.
Jourdain rushed in for some heavy ground and pound before Grant attempted to transition with a takedown. “Air” quickly grabbed a hold of a guillotine — which is how he finished his last fight at 135 pounds — and knew right away the fight was over. It took Grant a few more seconds to tap.
Check the video highlights below:
Jourdain, 29, is now 2-0 at bantamweight since making the move down from 145 pounds just under one year ago. This was yet another complete performance for the veteran fighter and a great way to close out 2025. Jourdain called for a fight against Marcus McGhee his next time out so we’ll see if UFC matchmakers take the bait.
