Tonight could have gone in a couple of directions but, thankfully for Alabama fans, the Tide took care of business as you’d expect them to against an overmatched foe. The defense was rallying around the football from the opening snap and yielded very little. On offense, Ty Simpson had a perfect night passing the football and led the Tide to touchdowns on the first six possessions to open the night. Germie Bernard had himself a massive game, and both Austin Mack and Keelon Russell led touchdown drives.
Even the penalties were way down!
There were plenty of highlights, but check out this dart.
That man has a future.
This night won’t erase the ugliness of the season opener, but it was great to see the team respond in a positive fashion. Alabama fans should be encouraged by what we just saw, but there will obviously be much tougher tests in the coming weeks.
There are three games on for you tonight, if you are so inclined.
Roll Tide.
