The New York Giants have finished their twelfth practice of their 2026 training camp, breathing a sigh of relief as they do so. Both edge defender Abdul Carter (hand) and QB Jaxson Dart (ankle) participated in today’s practice.
That said, cornerback Paulson Adebo didn’t practice and has no known injury.
They’re one day closer to taking on the Minnesota Vikings when they host them at MetLife Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Giants practiced in shells today after a tough Monday practice. Typically, “Shells”
practices are less intense than fully padded practices, and this was reportedly more of a jog-through. The Giants will be back in full pads for Wednesday’s practice.
Injury updates

All per Dan Duggan
- OC John Michael Schmitz (concussion)
- WR Jalin Hyatt (leg/ankle)

We’ll update with Adebo’s status when we know more.

Meanwhile, CBs Greg Newsome II (knee) and Dru Phillips (knee) worked on the side with trainers. WR Malik Nabers also worked on the side with trainers after doing one-on-one drills.
Both Abdul Carter and DL Chauncey Golston returned to practice. QB Jaxson Dart likewise practiced after suffering a minor ankle injury on Monday.
Practice reports
Thomas Fidone II is heating up
The second year tight end made the play of the day for the offense, beating LB Tremaine Edmunds in coverage, reportedly laying out to snag a 1-handed catch of a 40-yard pass from Jameis Winston. Fidone has been stringing strong practices together over the past week and is “catching everything in his direction” per Art Stapleton and Jordan Raanan.
Arvell Reese is good
It seems like we’re talking up Reese every day, but he’s giving us reason to on a daily basis. Whether it’s making plays in the run game, disrupting in the pass game, or busting into the backfield on a pass rush, he’s always showing up.
Today he picked off Jaxson Dart in Red Zone drills, instinctively reacting to make a one-handed catch of his own, intercepting the pass as the offense tried to sneak a receiver (possibly Darius Slayton) behind him. (Duggan)
The secondary is getting interesting
Rookie cornerback Colton Hood might have gotten beat by Darius Slayton on a double-move in Monday’s practice, but he had two pass breakups in one-on-ones against Malachi Fields and had good coverage of Isaiah Likely in Red Zone drills. (Stapleton)
Safety Ar’Darius Washington is also continuing to show that he’s going to be a major piece of the defense. Dan Duggan reports that he once again split time with Tyler Nubin in team periods (Duggan). Modern “Ravens Style” defenses make heavy use of safeties in sub-packages, and we’ll likely see a lot of Washington as one of the defense’s pivot players.
Finally, safety Jevon Holland had an acrobatic circus-style interception off of WR Braxton Berrios, in which the ball bounced off of each player before Holland grabbed it out of the air. (Stapleton)
