With Rutgers being on a bye week, it is time to check in to see how former Scarlet Knights are doing in the NFL. This update will only feature active players, not the ones who have been on injury reserve all season. These players include CB Robert Longerbeam, FB Michael Burton, DT Kyonte Hamilton, and CB Eric Rogers.
Kyle Monangai: After a dominant first start against the Cincinnati Bengals, Monangai has continued his train of success by scoring a touchdown in his following two matchups against the Giants
and the Vikings. His production and carries have dipped a bit since his first start, as he has only carried the rock 19 times for 51 yards in the Bears’ last two games. However, as long as he keeps finding the end zone, the Bears will have no choice but to keep him as an integral part of their offense.
CB Max Melton: Recorded four total tackles, two solo tackles, and one pass defended in the Cardinals’ 41-22 loss to the 49ers. That brings him up to 21 solo tackles, 30 total tackles, and five passes defended on the year.
DT Sebastian Joseph-Day: Recorded one solo tackle and three total tackles in the Titans’ 16-13 loss to the Texans. He is now at 18 solo and 31 total tackles on the year.
WR/CB/KR Bo Melton: Got offensive snaps in the Packers’ loss to the Eagles and win over the Giants, as he recorded two catches on five targets for 18 yards against the Eagles, and one rush for 17 yards against the Giants. Melton’s offensive outing against the Eagles was frustrating as he had several drops in key situations.
On defense against the Giants, Melton recorded one tackle. He also returned two kicks for 37 yards.
CB Christian Braswell: Recorded a stat on defense for the first time this season. Recorded four total tackles and a pass defended in the Jaguars’ resounding victory over the Chargers.
S Christian Izien: Recorded two total tackles in the Buccaneers’ loss to the Bills.
LS Andrew DePaola: Played but did not record a stat.
RB Isiah Pacheco: Out due to injury, is expected to return this season.
