On Monday, Spurs legend David Robinson joined Lauren Rosen and Sean Little on The Association. He spoke of the Spurs incredible 2025-2026 season, their return to the NBA Finals, and his experience watching the next generation of Spurs develop into championship contenders.
During the interview, The Admiral was asked about netting a historic quadruple-double. His 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 blocks on February 17, 1994 was only the fourth recorded quadruple-double and the last time it
occurred in the NBA. Over three decades later, Robinson feels that it is not a question of if Victor Wembanyama will join the list of players to tally the elusive statistic anomaly, but when.
There are also some great highlights of The Admiral in his heyday. You can never go wrong with the best of David Robinson.
I always love when Robinson speaks about the Spurs. He has such passion for the team and has really been through it all with the team. He is the foundation for so many wonderful aspects of the franchise, and the team’s ultimate ambassador.
Spurs dropped their first game, leaving them in dead last in the Western Conference with an 0-1 record. Hopefully just a humbling hot minute as the Spurs tweak the strategies that will best serve them over the long season.
