It’s finally time to say the words fans have been itching to hear for months: football is back in Columbia.
The 135th team in the history of the Missouri Tigers football program takes the field for the first time at 7 p.m.
They’ll do so in a transformed venue after the completion of the $250 million Memorial Stadium Centennial Project as Mizzou Athletics held the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new north end zone, which made up the majority of the project, Wednesday.

Bluff isn’t expected to be a close, intense contest; the Tigers are favored by nearly 55 points. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some interesting things to keep an eye on during this game, though.
