It was a good weekend for Juventus. Just in the same kind of way in which last weekend was a good weekend for Juventus. Funny how that works when you win and move closer than you have been in weeks to
the top four in Serie A?
That’s something we haven’t been able to say in a while.
But with Juventus’ 2-1 win over Roma on Saturday night, Luciano Spalletti’s squad is now just one point away from fourth place (and maybe even more?). With the top three all in Saudi Arabia for the four-team Suerpcoppa mini-tournament, it has led to Juventus’ win against Roma creating a situation where there’s just four points separating first place and Spalletti’s Bianconeri in fifth.
And lest we not forget that Juve looked pretty good while beating Roma, too.
That’s something we haven’t been able to say often this season no matter who they’ve played. But this performance under Spalletti has dare we say created a little bit of … optimism as we get ready to close out 2025.
