A quick glimpse at the Seattle Seahawks’ top 30 visits makes it clear they’ve identified their positions of need, focusing on edge rusher, running backs, and defensive backs.
That trend continued on the latest reported visit as the Seahawks are bringing in Arizona Wildcats cornerback Treydan Stukes, according to ESPN reporter ‘s Jeremy Fowler. The three-year starter played six years with Arizona before he broke out in his senior season, posting 52 total tackles, four interceptions and six pass breakups
en route to earning a third-team All-American nod.
Stukes is another athletic standout, in a similar vein to Brandon Cisse and Colton Hood, posting a near-perfect 9.95 Relative Athletic Score at the combine. The highlight of the Wildcat’s trip to Indianapolis was a 4.33 40-yard dash, one of the fastest among defensive backs.
During his time in Arizona, Stukes rotated between cornerback and safety, playing the nickel role in the Wildcats’ defense. His versatility has made him a hot commodity during visit season, with the Seahawks being one of nine teams he will meet with this week.
Stukes is projected to be a mid-round pick, going as early as the second-round in several mock drafts. He has not been on the Seahawks’ radar in any mock drafts done by major outlets, but could be a sleeper pick to bolster Seattle’s secondary if he falls.
