The NHL announced today that the Carolina Hurricanes will face the Ottawa Senators in game one of their series starting on Saturday at 3 P.M. The rest of the schedule will be announced later.
The Canes held a morning skate Thursday morning and the normal suspects were in their typical spots. The only person missing was second line center, Logan Stankoven, who was out because of the flu.
On the blueline, Chatfield was back with Slavin. Miller was with Walker, and Nikishin was with Gostisbehere.
As many
expected, Fred Andersen was in the starter’s crease and while that is not an official announcement of Saturday’s starting goalie, someone must have told him to take that spot. We can assume that he will be the man.
I am currently working on a series preview that I hope to have up tonight. I will also be posting the article regarding the “Canes Country Playoff Pick’em contest”. Brian LeBlanc has offered to keep track of that again this year.
