Barcelona’s continued pursuit of Julian Alvarez is front page news again in Spain on Sunday with a new report claiming that the Catalans won’t go crazy for the Atletico star.
The arrivals of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, along with the presence of Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Raphinha in the squad, means Barca are well stocked for forwards and won’t sign just for the sake of, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona still want to buy Julian Alvarez but don’t want to up their €100 million offer and
really don’t want to include any players in the deal either.
The Catalans now playing a waiting game but remain relaxed about the situation as they are confident they have plenty of firepower even if Alvarez doesn’t arrive.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been credited with interest in Alvarez but it seems the Gunners may now be looking elsewhere. The Premier League side are reportedly keen on signing Vinicius Jr which represents a real blow for Atletico, according to Diario Sport.
Atletico would much rather sell Alvarez to Arsenal than Barcelona but it seems Mikel Arteta’s side may have decided to switch up their transfer plans as they are aware the Argentina star’s focus is solely on Barcelona.
