What is the story about?
The Washington Mystics began the 2026 WNBA regular season with a 68-65 win over the Toronto Tempo on Friday night at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Ontario. And it also snapped a 10 game regular season losing streak to end the 2025 regular season.
Former Mystics guard Brittney Sykes scored the first points in Toronto franchise history. However, Sonia Citron led the Mystics with 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead Washington to their first win of the season.
Marina Mabrey led the Tempo with 27 points for
Toronto and for all scorers in the game.
