Atletico Madrid have reportedly given Julian Alvarez two options with regards his future after the Argentina star revealed during the World Cup he wanted out of Diego Simeone’s side.
Los Colchoneros have said publicly they don’t want to sell Alvarez, amid interest from Barcelona, and are now only prepared to entertain two scenarios this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The first is that Alvarez stays and sees out his contract that runs until 2030. The second option is for Alvarez to move to either
France or England.
Atletico don’t really want to sell but are willing to offload the Argentina star outside of La Liga. Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are two clubs who have previously expressed an interest in his services.
The club are still refusing to even think about selling Alvarez to Barcelona, with the Catalans said to now be aware that Atletico won’t change their stance on the forward.
Barcelona are thought to still be hoping that Alvarez may make some kind of gesture shortly to try and force an exit, but the prospect of him moving to the Camp Nou this summer still looks slim as things stand.
