Coming off an appearance in the national title game, Miami offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler IV committed to Ole Miss out of the transfer portal on Saturday.
The 6’6” 340 lbs. Ocala, Fla. native will be a redshirt junior for the 2026 season. He was originally a four star recruit out of the Sunshine state via Rivals rankings, and in the video game world, he is a 76 overall rated OL in EA Sports College Football 26.
The big man who also goes by Bruno has been in the Hurricane OL rotation for the past two seasons. He played against Ole Miss only a couple weeks ago in CFP national semifinal.
Earlier this week, Ole Miss announced the hiring of Miami staffer Cody Woodiel, originally of Hernando, Miss., to its staff as a co-offensive coordinator. It looks possible this is part of the continuing cycle of portal recruiting, and Kinsler is sticking with a coach he is familiar with through the transfer process.
With the Rebels losing at least a few contributors to the draft and portal, it is key to rebuild the two-deep rotation for coach John Garrison. Kinsler also received heavy attention from Auburn and Arkansas reportedly.
There’s certain things you just can’t substitute in the highest levels of college football and size at the line of scrimmage is crucial to success. Kinsler easily fits that bill along with playing in the biggest of games in FBS ball.
Also, there’s a little tidbit of interest that his brother, Jermaine, has just recently enrolled at Texas A&M as a four star defensive tackle. It sure would be interesting to have a reunion for these two in Oxford whether it be in 2026 or 2027.
