It’s been almost two weeks since Asuka lost against IYO SKY at Backlash, before they shared a tear-filled hug in the ring. Many fans and wrestlers took that ending as a sign that Asuka may have had her last match in WWE. The rumor mill soon followed up by indicating she is semi-retired, whatever that means.
The Empress herself has now posted a video on her popular YouTube channel where she acknowledges the rumors about her future in pro wrestling. Asuka clarifies that a personal matter came up that she discussed
with WWE. She is still officially with WWE and proved at Backlash that she is at the top of her game. That means you never know when you might see her return on your screen.
Asuka ends the video by pushing her plans to be very active on YouTube and stay connected with her fans there.
