Dan Quinn answered questions from reporters before today’s light practice. The Washington Commanders are hosting the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. They’re on a short week after losing to the Kansas
City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
Jayden Daniels missed Monday night’s game with a hamstring injury, but he will practice fully today. Quinn said the plan is for him to practice all week. This is Daniels’ second injury that caused him to miss time. He injured his knee injury Week 2, and missed two games before returning wearing a brace.
WR Terry McLaurin returned for a four-game absence due to a quad injury and caught the team’s only touchdown vs the Chiefs. Unfortunately he made another catch that he laid out for in the 3rd quarter, and he re-injured his quad. He has been ruled out for this week, but Quinn said it’s not a long-term injury.
LT Laremy Tunsil injured his hamstring Monday night and tried to play through it before exiting the game again. Kicker Matt Gay was ruled out after a back injury on Saturday. This forced the team to sign Matthew Wright to the practice squad and elevate him for the Chiefs game. Wright was released the next day. Quinn said both players have a shot at playing on Sunday night.
Quinn expecta GM Adam Peters to be busy as the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday. If a deal comes through that benefits the team, he will be looped in before it’s made.
