The Baltimore Ravens have completed their trade with the Arizona Cardinals to acquire veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett. The terms are as follows, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
- Ravens receive: QB Jacoby Brissett, 2027 fifth-round pick
- Cardinals receive: 2027 fourth- and 2028 seventh-round picks
Arizona restructured Brissett’s deal before finalizing the deal, so the Ravens will owe him $2.4 million, though Russell Street Report’s Brian McFarland notes some of that money could be pushed into 2027.
To clear a spot on their active roster, the Ravens waived quarterback Austin Reed, who served as Joe Fagnano’s backup on Thursday
night against the Jaguars but did not play a snap. He could end up back on Baltimore’s practice squad as additional quarterback insurance.
Brissett will get to work learning Declan Doyle’s offense in preparation for a Week 10 matchup against the currently-winless Los Angeles Chargers. The 10-year veteran will make his Ravens debut on Monday Night Football – certainly a storyline that ESPN’s producers were not expecting to push when the NFL set the primetime schedule.
This story will be updated with more information.
