Former Real Madrid academy midfielder Marc Cucalon spoke to Diario AS about Castilla prospect Manuel Angel, highlighting the midfielder’s rare technical ability and unusual ambidexterity.
At Valdebebas, Cucalon said what stood out most was the intensity Manuel Angel combines with his talent.
“I don’t see any limits to his potential. He gives his all for every ball, he goes all out. And technically, he’s the best I’ve ever seen, along with Nico Paz; he has no ceiling,” Cucalon said.
He also described
the midfielder’s extraordinary comfort using both feet.
“It was insane,” he explained. “When he took penalties, he did it with both feet and you wouldn’t even notice. You couldn’t tell which was his stronger foot.”
Cucalon said that even teammates sometimes struggled to identify Manuel Angel’s dominant side.
“Not even he knew if he was right-footed or left-footed. We’d take free kicks and he’d take them exactly the same with his right or left foot.”
That ability made him easy to play with in midfield.
“And when it came to passing him the ball, he made it very easy, because he could position himself perfectly for either side.”
