Oof. That one hurt for Texas football and fans alike.
The Longhorns’ loss to Florida over the weekend was the latest strike on first-year starting quarterback Arch Manning, who, once again, seemed loss against
the unranked Gators. Now, Texas — itself now unranked in the latest polls — must look inward to find the team’s identity. More importantly, the program must figure out how to salvage it’s 3-2 campaign so far into the 2025 college football season by finding a way to slip into this season’s College Football Playoff later this year.
Granted, Manning will need better efforts all around for him to succeed. Perhaps most especially from his men up front.
