Is Kyle Schwarber close to signing?
This is probably the least surprising rumor. Schwarber seems to be the thing clogging up the free agency market. One has to wonder if it’s that there is a lot of interest, or if the Phillies are expected to be bigger spenders this offseason.
You want Ketel, you gotta give up Painter
This is probably a hard pass, that the team would trade Andrew Painter for Ketel Marte. However, maybe it’s in conjunction with spending on a free agent arm?
Remember how they have no bench coach?
Oh yeah, the bench coach’s job. The Phillies still don’t have one, but maybe they’re just waiting to Don Mattingly to come to terms with having to work for his son.
