Commanders receiver Stefon Diggs (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, head coach Dan Quinn said in his Friday press conference. That’s a big blow, considering Diggs has been Washington’s leading receiver to this point.
Fingers are crossed for better news on Terry McLaurin, who was able to practice on Friday and for the first time this week. Quinn said he looked good in the workout.
It’s uncertain whether McLaurin plays this time, and we’ll have to wait until
later Friday afternoon to see if he receives a designation on the team’s official injury report.
The veteran suffered a hamstring injury in the last practice before Washington played the Colts in London, which kept him from playing that Week 4 game.
Quinn delivered some good (yet expected) news for the Commanders, saying that quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow), right guard Sam Cosmi (concussion) and running back Rachaad White (shoulder) will play against the Giants in a crucial Week 5 matchup.
Check back later on Friday for the full Commanders and updates on a long list of banged up Washington players.
