Four-star combo guard Finley Parcher of Lynden, Washington, named the Gonzaga Bulldogs in her top seven schools. Among coach Lisa Fortier’s program for the in-state talent are not only other major West Coast names, but also the coach Geno Auriemma staple all the way out from the Northeast New England region.
Besides the Zags and UConn Huskies, the Oregon Ducks, Washington Huskies, Stanford Cardinal, UCLA Bruins, and Arizona Wildcats are all in the mix for the 6-1 product of the 2027 recruiting class.
She has already reportedly taken official visits with Gonzaga and coach Kelly Graves’ Ducks, as well as Stanford and UCLA, according to On3’s Talia Goodman.
Speaking with Goodman about the Zags back on July 15, Parcher stated, “They have such an amazing coaching staff and just basketball culture. It’s really close to home. It’s just super nice, and they have just a great program.”
During the summer AAU scene, the incoming senior represented the Northwest Blazers on the Under Armour circuit. An organization that originally started in Spokane, Washington back in 1988, but has spread to the nearby states of Oregon, Idaho, and Montana under Steve Klees across four decades.
Parcher, a multi-sport athlete along with volleyball at Lynden High School, averaged 22.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3.5 steals in her standout junior basketball season. Under her head coach Rob Adams, Lynden has completed the first-ever three-peat of WIAA girls’ 2A state championships.
