If it ain’t broke…
Polled Chiefs fans are not ready to shake things up on the offensive line after back-to-back 30-point outputs to begin the season. Starting left tackle Kahlil Benson may be an undrafted rookie, but nearly two-thirds of voters
don’t want to see him on the bench once last year’s first-round pick, Josh Simmons, returns from a back injury.
The only question that remains is whether Simmons would return to the starting lineup at the expense of right tackle Jaylon Moore. Most of Benson’s experience is on the right side, but the veteran Moore has been exceptional through two weeks. With Simmons declared out for Week 3, we will wait at least another week to think through a good problem to have.
Championship confidence is back
Chiefs Kingdom started the year with only 60% of voting fans confident in the team’s direction. After Week 2’s overtime win, nearly every Chiefs fan who voted felt good about Kansas City’s 2026 trajectory.
