Good Friday morning everyone, we’ve got a lot of news for you today, so let’s get right to it!
Football Dots
- Caple has his Montlake Mailbag, talking Demond, and portal money ($).
- And a new episode of Say Who, Say Pod is out now.
- Coach Fisch announced on On3’s “Andy & Ari” podcast that he will not hire a dedicated offensive coordinator, instead seeking a senior offensive assistant. Andy Yamashita of the Seattle Times has more here.
- ESPN’s Mel Kiper has placed former Husky receiver Denzel Boston at 26th to Buffalo in his latest mock draft ahead of the combine. While I am happy for Boston getting to realize his NFL dream, part of me hopes he falls to the Seahawks at 32, even though the Hawks don’t really need a receiver!

Retro Game of The Week
It’s yet another USC game on this week’s edition of the Retro Game of the Week. This time, we’re going back to 2023, which was the last time the Huskies paid a visit to the LA Coliseum before their trek this upcoming season. This was a game in which the first team to blink would win. I thought it was going to be a track meet and I was proven right, as both offenses were on from the word “go”. Caleb Williams killed the Dawg defense all day with RPOs and read options, but in the end, it was a ZTF punch out before the half that sealed the momentum in favor of the Dawgs. It was an emotional moment for him, as his father had passed away before the Husky game the week before. You add to that a 256 yard, 4 touchdown performance from Dillon Johnson on the ground (which got Trojan DC Alex Grinch fired the next day), and a 256 yard game from Michael Penix, ending in a 52-42 victory, and I’d say that’s a pretty worthy Game of the Week!
That’s all for today, so thank you for making Dots a part of your morning and as always, Go Dawgs!
