Barcelona continue to be linked with moves for Alessandro Bastoni and Julian Alvarez in the summer transfer window, with the rumor mill seemingly adamant both players will arrive at Camp Nou.
A new report from Diario Sport claims that Deco sees both players as “essential signings” and will prioritise bringing in the duo during the summer window.
Barcelona are hoping that they can tempt Inter to accept an offer of €60m for Bastoni. There has been talk of Barca potentially including players in a deal
with the Serie A side but that’s seen as unlikely.
Sport also think that Barca can land Alvarez for €70m. The Argentine has been valued far higher but Barca think he could be available for less due to an underwhelming campaign at club level.
If Barca can’t land Alvarez for €70m, they will move on to Plan B – aka Omar Marmoush – and think he could be signed for around €50m from Manchester City.
It’s not clear yet how Barca will finance both deals, although Joan Laporta has previously claimed the club “are capable of making a significant investment” this summer.
