It’s Sunday, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! The 2026 World Series has come to a close, and with it, all 30 teams have now settled down for a long winter’s
nap. Even so, we’ve had quite a busy week, with a fun holiday, commentary on the World Series, some more reflections on the season’s end, and, of course, dog pics. With so much in store, let’s get started!
The Ace is Back
According to Gerrit Cole’s Instagram story, Yankees ace Gerrit Cole — who missed all of 2025 due to a torn UCL — threw a bullpen session at Yankee Stadium yesterday. While there’s still a long journey ahead for the former Cy Young, it’s a good sign for his recovery that he is back on the hill.
Happy Halloween!
Friday night was Halloween day. Check out how the Yankees celebrated the holiday.

Congratulations, Wells
Yankees catcher Austin Wells and his wife announced this week that they are expecting their first child. Congratulations, Austin!
Commentary on the World Series
Former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia spent quite a bit of time commenting on the World Series on his social media accounts this week, first by praising Will Klein’s performance during the 18-inning marathon game, then by celebrating the Dodgers forcing Game 7.
Some Reflections on the Past
This past week, Yankees reliever Fernando Cruz posted some photos from the 2025 season, while former Yankees catcher Jorge Posada shared a picture from his minor league days — back when he was still an infielder.
Ottavino does an AMA
Former Yankees reliever/current YES studio analyst Adam Ottavino did an Ask Me Anything over on reddit this week. Throughout, he talks about the differences between the Yankees, Mets, and Red Sox, the reality of free agency (as opposed to the romanticized version people think of it as), and, of course, how to strike out Babe Ruth.
Dog Pics
Last but not least, we end this week with another picture of Aaron Judge’s dog, shared on his Instagram story.
