They’re heading into the locker rooms at halftime at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, and your Minnesota Vikings are trailing the Cleveland Browns by a score of 10-7.
The Browns had the ball to start
the quarter and wound up punting the ball away, and the Vikings returned the favor after getting the ball out to near midfield. Cleveland followed that up with another three-and-out that featured a couple of nice plays by Dallas Turner, and a penalty on the punt on the Vikings pushed the ball back deeper into their territory.
The Vikings then had a big play from Carson Wentz to Jalen Nailor negated by offsetting penalties and had to punt the ball away again. The teams just kept exchanging punts, and on the Vikings’ last possession of the quarter they saw Carson Wentz take a big hit that sent him into the medical tent with a shoulder injury. He is questionable to return, so we might be seeing Max Brosmer when we come back for the third quarter.
Dillon Gabriel led the Browns into Minnesota territory in their two-minute drill, and eventually got them to a first-and-goal situation. The Vikings’ defense held firm, though, and the Browns were forced to settle for a 31-yard field goal from Andre Szmyt to make it 10-7 going into the locker room.
It was a pretty uneventful second quarter in London, but the Vikings will get the ball coming out of the locker room at halftime, trailing 10-7. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play!
