The two new NWSL expansion teams, Boston Legacy FC and Denver Summit FC, announced the date and times of their home openers on Monday. Both teams will kick off their first home games next March.
Boston
Legacy will play their first home match on Friday, March 14 at 12:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium, the home stadium of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution. The Legacy plan to play their first season home games at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, before moving to the renovated White Stadium in Boston.
Denver Summit will kick off the club’s first home match at Mile High Stadium, home of the Denver Broncos. Their home opener is on March 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
“This will be an unforgettable moment for our club, our players, our city and our fans,” said Summit President Jen Millet. “We’re honored to play our first home match and host “The Kickoff” in such an iconic stadium. We’re grateful to the community for the incredible support to help us reach this moment.”
The opponents for the matches have not yet been announced.
