The Arizona Cardinals travel to Santa Clara to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and both teams are coming into things limping.
Those are some long lists after just two games. That doesn’t even include the injured reserve guys in Garrett Williams and George Kittle.
The Cardinals have a lot of questions heading into this one on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the secondary. Meanwhile, the Niners are hurting at the receiver spot, with Jauan Jennings not practicing and the aforementioned Kittle out this weel.
The one to watch is of course Brock Purdy.
It seems a little early in the season to forced a not all the way healthy Purdy into a game, especially with a Thursday Night Football game against the Rams looming in two weeks.
However, if the Niners see this as an early statement must win (which I doubt they do), then they could send out a less than 100% Purdy.
It will be interesting to see how this weekend goes.
