Following this past week’s roster cuts our Miami Dolphins then went out and made a flurry of waiver claims, after which I asked the following question:
Which of the waiver claims made by our Miami Dolphins was your favorite, or were your favorites, and why? What waiver claims made by other teams were you disappointed to not see our Dolphins put in (assuming that we were on the list in front of whoever won the claim), and why?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-
Dolfanjoe pointed to the sad
level of depth this team had on the offensive line.
Any O line help was so needed. our backups sucked to put it mildly……………….
Oldarmyguy is a fan of the 5th rounder.
Definitely NOT Brady Cook. Joly the TE, really thin there.
Jsutton15 just seems amused by the entire thing…I think.
Oh wow
Dolphster doesn’t think Wood is all that good, but at least it’s another body in a room with a lot of needs.
Julius Wood. Not because I think he is all that great, but because Safety is currently a disastrous position for the team and they can use all the help there that they can get.
MiamiItaliano is another fan of the safety addition but not so much the QB from the Jets.
Favorite claim was Julius Wood. Expect to see him on the field a lot as a rotational player.
Least favorite was Brady Cook. Granted, he was on one of the worst Jets teams ever last year. But he played his part in them being terrible the 4 games he started. Hopefully he doesn’t see the field this year. Maybe Slowik and Hamdan can fix him, we’ll see.
CluelessNFLfan is pleased with the TE group after the addition of Joly.
Joly. 2026 5th rounder with excellent hands. Our TE group is pretty solid now
phinette23 is another fan of Wood and is not another fan of Cook.
Favorite-Julius Wood. We are so thin at that position.
Least favorite- Brady Cook. I would have gone after Joe Milton III. I think he has more upside. 🐬
Molly Polly II likes the help to the team’s overall depth.
Hmmm……I like the added depth to OTs and DBs….our depth chart looks rough. Tho I’ve never seen Dial ball out, hopefully he gets Dialed In and can make an immediate impact on the field!
Ultimatephinsfan is yet another fan of the safety.
Julius Wood is downhill, hard-hitting safety who can be a good box defender.
Phoenix6 is another fan of the saftety Wood.
Which of the waiver claims made was your favorite, or were your favorites, and why?
Safety Julius Wood – he put together a nice yr last yr with aggressiveness & great tackling.
DE Malik Herring – big, versatile & needed with the D-line having injuries.
What waiver claims made by other teams were you disappointed to not see our Dolphins put in (assuming that we were on the list in front of whoever won the claim), and why?
None really. I didn’t see any big names (or big money) guys released. Wouldn’t matter as the Dolphins 🐬 don’t have any money.
Well there was no consensus but there were a lot of you who were big fans of the safety that they added in Julius Wood. Lets hope that he’s the baller that everyone thinks/hopes he is as we need all the talent we can add to this roster. As always thank you to each of you who took the time to answer our Phinsider Question Of The Day.
