As Arizona Cardinals training camp keeps rolling, certain players are a certainty to be released at some point. Sometimes, coaches will wait until they see the athletes in a live situation, such as a preseason game, before they cut them loose.
In other instances, the coaches haven’t seen enough to keep the player. So, the Turk comes early. Such was the case for DT Coziah Izzard and WR Tejhuan Palmer. Both players were waived on Monday.

The team then had
two corresponding moves and inked DT Cam Horsley and RB Evan Hull. Yeah, another running back.
Horsley (6’-3”, 312 pounds) went undrafted in 2025 after being a fifth-year senior out of Boston College. He then signed with the Tennessee Titans to their practice squad. He was elevated to the main roster in late December and played in one game with zero stats. In college, Horsley had 164 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 8 batted passes, 1 fumble recovery, and played in 59 games.
Hull (5’-11”, 210 pounds) was just cut by the Houston Texans on August 2. He was a fifth-round selection of the Indianapolis Colts in 2023 after a good career at Northwestern. There, he played in 38 games with 488 rushing attempts for 2,417 yards with 18 touchdowns. He also had 94 receptions for 851 yards and another four scores. As a returner, Hull had one punt return and 9 kickoff returns with a 20.1-yard-per-return average.
The Cardinals are his fifth NFL club. So far in the NFL, he has played in eight games with 20 attempts for 49 yards. He also has 7 kickoff returns for a 25.6-yard-per-return average. As full as the running back room is, most likely, Hull will compete on special teams as a kickoff returner.
Palmer came to Arizona in 2024 as a sixth-round draft pick coming from UAB. He was a practice-squad player in both 2024 and 2025. Izzard went undrafted in 2025 and spent time on the practice squads of the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. He signed with the Cardinals on July 22.
