Phillies’ magic number to win the National League east is now in single digits. In worse news for the New York Mets, the San Francisco Giants currently lead 3-0 over the Arizona Diamondbacks at the time of this writing.

- Kyle Schwarber did it. He became the second Phillie ever to hit 50 home runs in a single season and still has a few more weeks to tack on. Maybe he catches Ryan Howard. Maybe he doesn’t.
- Aidan Miller made his AAA debut tonight, hitting second behind Johan Rojas in the Ironpigs lineup. He walked three times and made this excellent play at shortstop.
