Alphonso Davies made his return to the training pitch for Bayern Munich earlier today for an individual workout. According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the Canadian star will be looking to make his return on April 4th:
Alphonso Davies is expected to make his comeback against Freiburg on April 4. He’ll use the international break to get back to full fitness.
So far this season, Davies has missed 13 games and 73 days with three injuries (ACL recovery, torn muscle fiber, hamstring stain), one
illness, and some fitness days mixed in during his comeback from the ACL tear. Clearly, it has not been an easy campaign for the 25-year-old.
Bayern Munich plays at SC Freiburg on April 4th.
Neuer on the pitch
Per Tz journalists Vinzent Tschirpke and Philpp Kessler (via @iMiaSanMia), Manuel Neuer picked up his goalkeeper training, but will probably not be available on Wednesday vs. Atalanta:
Manuel Neuer has resumed goalkeeping training today, but was only able to complete exercises on the ground. A return on Wednesday is unlikely. Regarding Jonas Urbig, a decision will be made today.
At this stage, Leonard Prescott will likely be the starter vs. Atalanta if Urbig or Neuer is not medically cleared. Sven Ulreich is out for six weeks with a muscle tear.
