These are two teams with a similar statistical profile. Both are in the 11-13th range in the Big Ten in both offensive and defensive efficiency. And both are within a half-game of each other in the standings. Can the Gophers get another Big Ten road win?
KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN

Contain Hannes Steinbach – The Huskie freshman from Germany is a double-double machine and a likely lottery pick in this year’s NBA Draft. I like how are bigs defend, so it will be fun to watch him match up with Jaylen Crocker-Johnson, Grayson Grove and Cade Tyson. Keeping him under his usual 20 points and 11 rebounds will be helpful.

Jump on the Huskies – Jump out to a quick start, score some easy baskets early and then just execute the rest of the game. It is more important to play all 40 mintues, but jumping out to a quick lead builds confidence.

Tyson for 20 – Tyson hasn’t hit 20 points in over a month and I’d love to see Minnesota’s leading scorer have a monster game.
PREDICTION
Lately this team has been hard to read. They are good enough to play with and beat just about anybody in the conference and they are equally capable of being defeated by any team in the league. I think they will split this roadtrip to the Pacific Northwest, but I have no strong feeling on which one they will win.
Officially, I will predict a loss on Saturday evening.
Minnesota – 73
Washington – 77
