to what was ultimately a rather lopsided Super Bowl. But this being opening night and the championship banner reveal in one of the loudest environments in football, it would not be a surprise if the lights were just a bit too bright for New England. The game should be more competitive than the one seven months ago, but the result being the same would not come as a surprise. | Patriots 16, Seahawks 20
Matt St. Jean: I expect this game to be much more competitive than last year’s finale, with the addition of A.J. Brown paired with healthy Drake Maye and Will Campbell putting the Patriots in position to move the ball more consistently. However, this will be a tough environment against a great team, and I think Seattle ends up on top in a back and forth affair. | Patriots 16, Seahawks 23
Dylan Klayman: The Seahawks didn’t improve much in the offseason. They actually might’ve gotten slightly worse even by losing Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker and replacing him with a rookie RB. But of course, being a similar team means being a Super Bowl-caliber team. The Patriots, while the roster is much improved from last year, I’m not quite sure are capable of going into Seattle on banner night and beating the Seahawks. Pat Lane: The Patriots are much better than they were last year on offense, and I expect them to have a better time against the very tough Seahawks defense. The Patriots will be without TreVeyon Henderson, but the Seahawks are facing serious questions at safety, and thats a trade-off I can live with. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are making a rookie their bell-cow as they moved on from Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker this year, and I expect at least a few growing pains from Jadarian Price, especially with no Zach Charbonnet just yet. Ultimately, it’s going to be a tight game, but I think this is the best chance for the Patriots to beat Seattle. | Patriots 27, Seahawks 24
