The countdown is officially on.
The historic one-of-one White House card, UFC Freedom 250, goes down in exactly two weeks (Sun., June 14, 2026), with UFC Lightweight champion Ilia Topuria unifying the title against interim titleholder Justin Gaethje in the main event, which takes place on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
And with just two weeks to go, the promotion released a brand-new promo for the massive event — and Topuria revealed a new rose made specifically
for Gaethje.
A white rose.
Watch the promo below:
For Topuria, the rose has become a highly symbolic theatrical gesture tied directly to his fighting persona, “El Matador.”
The concept is inspired by traditional bullfighting culture, which Topuria has adapted to the UFC Octagon. After a matador finishes a fight with the bull, he shows one final sign of respect and condolence by offering a rose. Topuria has brought that same imagery into the UFC, using it to pay homage to the warrior spirit of his opponents and their teams.
Of course, Topuria’s roses have also become a warning sign.
The undefeated knockout artist has turned the gesture into part of his fight-week mystique, with each rose representing the opponent standing across from him. And now, with Gaethje next in line, Topuria has unveiled a white rose before the biggest fight of his career.
Will Gaethje avoid being given a rose?
