Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany should have all of his players back in tow by Friday, but rotating this weekend against Hamburger SV in an attempt to rest players before the Chelsea match in the Champions League next week will not be on the agenda (per Kicker’s Frank Linkesch as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Luis Díaz will be back in Munich from South America on Thursday and will only take part in Friday’s training session before the HSV game. Nicolas Jackson will have a maximum of two sessions
with his new teammates before the game. Kane and Olise will also be back (Thursday) after playing two games for their national teams. Nevertheless, the current squad depth implies that Vincent Kompany does not have the luxury to rest several key players.
It is still early, but — at some point — the squad will have to start to rotate to avoid the wear-and-tear we saw many players accumulate last season as the season went on.
Bayern Munich is back in Bundesliga action after an international break and just before the Champions League kicks off.
