Are Sean McVay and Les Snead still a top coach and general manager tandem in the NFL? Regardless of whatever you think of the 2026 NFL Draft, the answer is likely yes. McVay and Snead have done fantastic work for the Los Angeles Rams ever since they joined forces.
The latest draft doesn’t change what the pair have done, and who knows? Maybe this latest draft class for the Rams is a strong one. Time will tell.
Another Super Bowl for the pair would certainly cement them as two of the best to ever do
it (maybe they already are), but either way, they’ve worked wonders for the Rams. They have the chance to do it again in 2026.
Please comment on whatever you want and happy Friday! We made it.
Rams’ Snead-McVay tandem lands near top of NFL GM rankings for 2026 (ramswire)
“As a result, NBC Sports’ Patrick Daugherty ranked the duo third on his list of the best general managers in the NFL. While Snead is the actual general manager, both have gone on record to say that any roster move made has to be done with both men in agreement.
Is it just too easy for Sean McVay and Les Snead? The Rams’ franchise cornerstone, Aaron Donald, retired after the 2023 campaign. How have they done in the two seasons since? Divisional Round loss and NFC Championship Game loss. Replacing Donald was a test the Rams passed without even studying. Maybe that’s why they insisted on upping the difficulty level this offseason. After finishing one game shy of the Super Bowl with a 38-year-old quarterback, the Rams should be all in on 2026. It seemed like they were when they traded a first-round pick for Chiefs CB Trent McDuffie. Then it came time to make their other pick and … yeah. Staring the Lombardi in the face, McVay and company selected Ty Simpson, someone who won’t play until 2027 at the earliest absent injury. It’s bad enough the Rams passed on immediate help. It’s even worse when you remember McVay changes his mind quickly on offense. Will Simpson even still be his ideal quarterback two years from now? The Rams are too smart for the rest of the league. Occasionally, they are too smart for even their own good.“
Sean McVay’s BWTB interview revealed everything Rams fans could’ve possibly wanted to know. About everything. (sportingnews)
“And when he said it, you could almost feel yourself in his shoes.
This week, McVay sat down with Will Compton and Taylor Lewan on Bussin With the Boys for what turned into one of the most genuinely honest coaching interviews I’ve heard in a long time. No talking points. No carefully worded non-answers. Just a football coach sitting down and actually telling the truth about where his head was at when things got dark.
If you’re a Rams fan and especially if you watched that 2022 season, this one is going to hit you somewhere in your gut.“
Sean McVay continues to open doors for former NFL players in coaching (ramswire)
“The NFL has a player-coaching issue. There are many former players who are interested in extending their time in the NFL through coaching. The problem is that those opportunities rarely come about, especially for non-quarterbacks.
However, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay remains at the forefront of coaching evolution. A big reason is the wide net he casts during his search for coaches. McVay looks everywhere, establishing a recent trend of hiring collegiate coaches and former Bill Belichick assistants.“

“If there is something in the rumor of Puka holding out Snead will definitely get another WR. I always said until Brown is signed elsewhere they are probably not over him yet” -ricker
