Game Summary:
Lenovo was rocking! You could see the players smiling a little when the crowd got really loud during the intros. The starting lineup was Holloman, McNeil, Copeland, Williams and Lubin.
It seemed
like the team was a little nervous and needed Darrion Williams to get things going. And he understood the assignment.
- First basket of the season, Lubin dunk off an assist by DW
- 2nd basket, DW 3PT
- 3rd basket, DW 3PT
- 4th basket DW 2PT
- 5th basket DW 3PT
- 6th basket Lubin dunk off an assist by DW
It was 15-5 at that point, and then the rest of the team started to chip in. The score was 54-26 at the half. The offense was on fire, 59% / 47% / 73%. DW had 14, Tre Holloman had 11, and Jerry Deng had a solid half with 9 points in 7 minutes.
The second half was equally dominant, but with different guys taking the lead. Paul McNeil went 4-5 from 3PT, Quadir Copeland got 11 the hard way – 6 free throws, and Matt Able had an excellent half playing the most minutes (14) and scoring 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Final Score: 114-66.
