According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich made the call to leave Sacha Boey out of its annual team picture, despite the right-back not having any concrete option in the transfer market or realistic hopes of leaving at this point:
Sacha Boey was left out of Bayern’s Lederhosen team photo. Unlike Palhinha and Zaragoza, who are joining Benfica and Espanyol respectively, Boey is still not subject to any concrete inquiry/offer. Bayern want the team photos to remain current for the coming months, and that’s why they decided not to include Boey, as they’re pushing for him to leave.
BFW Commentary
Boey’s future at Bayern Munich looks increasingly clear — the club wants him gone. Through multiple reports, it has been know that the club has no intention of keeping him, but to go to this extent does seem a little…harsh.
That is life in the big leagues, though.
While Bayern Munich would prefer a permanent transfer, interest has been difficult to find. Boey spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, but he has returned to Munich without securing a place in head coach Vincent Kompany’s plans.
The 25-year-old now appears to be one of Bayern Munich’s main transfer-out candidates, with the club hoping to find a solution before the transfer window closes. Will a move happen?
