The Cincinnati Bengals are gearing up for a must-win game against the 0-4 Miami Dolphins this weekend.
The Bengals are coming off a frustrating loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend, which was full of penalties from start to finish.
The NFL officially handed out fines from this game, and there are quite a few…
The Bengals’ Boye Mafe and Myles Murphy were fined $11,941 each for facemask infractions, while the Jaguars’ Travon Walker was fined $11,941 for taunting.
The Jaguars’ Jarrian Jones was
fined $8,201 for his facemask against Ja’Marr Chase.
However, the real story is that the hit by Ventrell Miller on Chase that caused the concussion was not fined by the league office, and he won’t be suspended either.
As for Jones, he was fined less money for his facemask on Chase, which helped lead to him being knocked out of the game by Miller, than both Mafe and Murphy’s infractions.
It is surprising to see that Miller was not fined for his dangerous hit on a defenseless player, but the NFL felt a fine was not needed.
Luckily, Chase is currently trending to play against the Dolphins as long as he officially clears concussion protocol.
Moving on.
