Talk about a story turning around quickly.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Bayern Munich is nearing a new contract with Konrad Laimer per a report from Tz journalists Philipp Kessler and Vinzent Tschirpke (via @iMiaSanMia):
Bayern and Konrad Laimer are nearing an agreement over an extension of his contract beyond 2027. The rumored extremely high salary demands are inaccurate. The Austrian currently earns around €9m gross per year; and could get up to €12m with the new deal.
Per Capology, Laimer currently
makes a salary of €9 million with a bonus of €2.25 million. If true, this is a wild swing of momentum for Bayern Munich. For the past two weeks, it seemed evident that Laimer would play out his contract and move on after the 2026/27 season. Now, though, there is hope for the spirited 28-year-old to remain in Bavaria.
