Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund is following the company line and not issuing any commentary or updates on the ongoing negotiations with Bayern Munich center-back Dayot Upamecano.

blew right past the question at Bayern Munich’s press conference ahead of the Bundesliga match vs. Hamburger SV.
“We’ve never given an update on the negotiations. We’ve always said that we were in good talks. There’s nothing new. I won’t be talking about any details. There’ll be a decision soon,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Reports and rumors on what might be going on with Bayern Munich and Upamecano can completely hit a wall. As of now, all fans know is that Bayern Munich made what amounts to be a “best and final offer” (BAFO) to Upamecano, who has yet to make a decision.
Some fans are echoing Tom Petty right now and truly embracing that “the waiting is the hardest part.”
